Meta
Mark Zuckerberg announced the formation of Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), a specialized division combining the company’s foundational model teams, product groups, and FAIR research under one roof to accelerate the development of advanced AI. He tapped Scale AI’s former CEO Alexandr Wang as Chief AI Officer and ex-GitHub leader Nat Friedman to co-head MSL, alongside a roster of high-profile recruits from OpenAI, Google Research, DeepMind, and Anthropic. This reorganization follows Meta’s substantial investment in Scale AI and reflects its bid to compete head-on with OpenAI and Google in the race for breakthrough “superintelligence” technologies, including upcoming Llama 4.x models and next-generation research initiatives.
Oracle
Oracle’s stock climbed to a record after a regulatory filing revealed that the company has secured a massive cloud-services contract set to generate over $30 billion in yearly revenue beginning in fiscal 2028. CEO Safra Catz is slated to announce the agreement at a corporate gathering on Monday, underscoring the continued momentum of Oracle’s Multicloud database business, which is expanding at a pace exceeding 100%. Despite the size of the upcoming deal, it will not alter the company’s financial outlook for the current fiscal year. This news follows a period of significant share gains fueled by Oracle’s strong performance in the cloud and its strategic partnerships in artificial intelligence infrastructure, including ventures with OpenAI, SoftBank, and IBM.
