The deal also covers other Times properties such as NYT Cooking and The Athletic, allowing Amazon to display excerpts and use the material to train its AI models. While financial terms were not disclosed, the agreement comes amid a broader trend of media companies opting for licensing deals with technology firms, as an alternative to legal battles over AI training practices.
