Delta Air Lines on Thursday reaffirmed its full‑year 2025 profit forecast, now $5.25 to $6.25 per share, after warning back in April that uncertain tariffs and hesitant travelers had hurt bookings. CEO Ed Bastian said reservations have rebounded to a steadier pace, though still below the levels predicted at the start of the year, and investors responded by driving the stock up 11%. In Q2, Delta delivered adjusted earnings of $2.10 per share on $15.51 billion in revenue, both slightly above Wall Street’s targets, and it expects Q3 profits of $1.25 to $1.75 per share with flat to 4% revenue growth. To manage shifting demand, the carrier plans targeted capacity cuts after the summer peak and is trimming flights outside peak travel windows. Delta also saw strong performance from premium seating and its American Express partnership, premium revenue climbed 5% even as main‑cabin ticket sales dipped 5%, and continues upgrading its airport lounges to ease crowding for top‑tier flyers.
