Microsoft and BlackRock announced plans to create a $30 billion fund focused on building AI infrastructure, such as data centers and energy projects. This investment, known as the Global AI Infrastructure Investment Partnership, will support the increasing demand for computing power driven by AI models like deep learning. Abu Dhabi-backed MGX will serve as a general partner, while Nvidia will provide technical expertise. The partnership aims to raise up to $100 billion through additional debt financing, primarily investing in the U.S. and its partner countries.

Meta Platforms is introducing enhanced privacy and parental controls on Instagram for users under 18, converting all relevant accounts to "Teen Accounts" by default. These accounts will be private, and users can only be messaged by those they follow. Parental consent will be required for changing certain settings, and parents will have tools to monitor their children’s app activity. This overhaul is part of Meta's effort to address rising concerns about social media's impact on young users, including its links to depression and anxiety. The changes will be rolled out in stages across multiple countries.
