Rivian

Rivian has temporarily halted the production of its electric delivery vans for Amazon due to a parts shortage. This pause adds to the supply chain issues the company has faced over the past two years. Despite the suspension, the production of Rivian's other vehicles, such as the R1S SUV and R1T pickup, remains unaffected. Shares of the company dropped by 5% following the announcement.

Texas Instruments

Texas Instruments will receive up to $1.6 billion from the U.S. Commerce Department to build three new chip manufacturing facilities in Texas and Utah as part of the U.S. CHIPS Act. The company is investing over $18 billion in these projects, expected to create 2,000 jobs, with additional financial support through tax credits and workforce development funding. This initiative aligns with the U.S. strategy to increase domestic semiconductor production and reduce dependency on Taiwan.
